Montessori Enriched Curriculum

The senses, being explorers of the world, open the way to knowledge…Maria Montessori

Our program offers are carefully chosen environment in order to maintain an enriched Montessori environment that provides great opportunities for success. Our primary goal is to always give children a chance to learn, and allow them to concentrate and focus on the task at hand in an uninterrupted, peaceful environment. AmeriMont Elementary incorporates a wide range of pedagogies designed to stimulate the developing mind and create a cultured, knowledgeable, well-rounded individual. It’s all part of our exciting, active curriculum that transforms students into confident, thriving, capable adults.

Our Environment

An intimate and supportive environment, where students know they are respected and valued as individuals and where we encourage self-expression, exploration and progressive thinking. Multiple leveled curriculum encourages cooperation over competition and allows children to advance to higher levels in academic skills. Small group or individual lessons allow the teacher to guide each student and maximize their potential.

Our Curriculum

Our integration of digital and traditional curriculum offers the students a broad and fascinating knowledge which includes methodologies from Montessori, Socrates, Chaffee, and Papert. All innovative models give students freedom of expression and effectively integrate knowledge that captures a student’s interest and passion for learning. Our program also provides opportunities for students to gain valuable life skills such as organization, self-direction, personal responsibility and interpersonal cooperation. High academic standards require students to truly master a subject before moving on. Computers and technology support all areas of the curriculum.

Beyond the Classroom

An emphasis is placed on community service and helping others. AmeriMont believes in the importance of learning through dynamic real-world experiences. Therefore, class fieldtrips to places such as Community Theater plays, Kellogg House, Newport Whale Watching, and Centennial Farms all enhance the curriculum.
